Compressor Mechanic

The compressor mechanic will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing natural gas engines, compressors, generators, turbines and other power-driven equipment. As well as monitoring and stimulating maximum efficiency and productivity to minimize problems and downtime, in a safely manner.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Must have experience with heavy mechanical and some electrical service.
Inspect engines, compressors and mechanical equipment: diagnose problems and determine extent of necessary repairs; supervise and schedule repairs and routine preventative maintenance.
Overhaul, repairs and maintenance of engines, compressors, pumps, turbines and motors.
Awareness of compressor components including: lubrication systems, shut-down systems, loading and unloading valves, pistons, valves and electrical systems.
Understanding of equipment repair manuals
Monitor and stimulate maximum efficiency and productivity to minimize problems and downtime.
Perform lockout/tagout, starting/stopping of equipment, and perform equipment checks.
Meet required production rate expectations.
Perform job duties in a safe and efficient manner.
Must adhere to company policies and procedures
Assure that machinery, equipment, and facilities are properly maintained for efficient production.
General upkeep of facilities and equipment including: engines/compressors, company vehicle, shops and tool rooms.
Preferred Skills:
Caterpillar 3600 & CM 34 Engine Experience
Strong mechanical background with working knowledge of the operation and maintenance requirements for natural gas compressors and auxiliary equipment.
Software Knowledge:
Proficient in using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, SAP
Requirements:
Skilled mechanic with abilities to troubleshoot, diagnosis and repair natural gas engines, compressors, generators, turbines and/or other power-driven equipment.
Must have a proven safe driving record.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
2-5 years of industry experience required
High School diploma or G.E.D.
H2S certified

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
