The Maintenance Supervisor, Safety is responsible for planning, implementing, and supporting all project safety, accident, and fire protection programs for the Facility.
Analyze needs and determine specifications for protective safety equipment, materials, and gear.
Directs surveillance inspections and controls hazardous working conditions or unsafe employee activities.
Ensures required records and reports are complete, accurate and submitted in accordance with established Company procedures.
Essential Functions:
Assists Program Coordinator in generating new policies and/or procedures related to safety Monitor facilities and processes for adherence to OSHA/EPA guidelines and the elimination of incidents Coordinate and track required training to ensure site remains in compliance with all laws regulations, and company policies Assists field personnel in complying with federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to safety Investigates all safety incidents, near misses, workers' compensation issues and property damage Effectively leads team members, team leaders and works well with all members of the organization Proactively seeks new ways to improve overall safety performance and employee well-being in the field Identify trends that could affect objectives and/or operational resources; advise accordingly Writes site-specific health and safety plans Performs site safety audits on a regular basis Monitors spending against the departmental budget Communicates clearly, interactively with the workforce Develops and maintains organizational communications related to Safety Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the organization Knowledge and Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software Demonstrated competency in strategic planning, management, and execution of key initiatives Understanding of Fire and Emergency Services operations Understanding of Public Works to include infrastructure, and environmental compliance Understanding of work process and the ability to manage a large work force Understanding of preventive maintenance, property accountability, and asset lifecycle management Understanding of budget planning and tracking Understanding of engineering disciplines to include electrical, structural, civil, and architectural Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of technical professionals Proven track record of success in organizational leadership Aptitude in analytical, decision-making, problem solving and critical thinking Superior verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills Superior managerial and interpersonal skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Education and
Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent 5 Years in Safety Experience OSHA 30 Certified Must be authorized to work in the U.
S.
Must be able to travel within the Continental United States (CONUS).
Must pass a drug test, motor vehicle record check and a background check accepting a conditional offer of employment.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
